SAFARI OVERVIEW
Day 1
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and meet your guide for a 45-minute transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, your guide will provide a brief overview of the surrounding environment and discuss the next day's plans.
Day 2
After breakfast, depart for the airport at 08:00 for your flight from Arusha to Kogatende Airport in Northern Serengeti, arriving around 10:30-11:00 AM. Your guide will greet you and provide an informative briefing for your adventure along the North Mara River. Over the next three nights, you’ll witness the Great Migration, including wildebeest, zebras, and the Big Five, while enjoying scenic picnic stops for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive back to your lodge, taking in the breathtaking views of thousands of wildebeest and zebras on the Serengeti plains. Overnight at your chosen lodge or camp in Northern Serengeti (Full board).
Day 3
Depart around 6:00 AM to search for nocturnal predators and enjoy a bush breakfast at sunrise. Your guide will help you spot lions, cheetahs, and leopards in the diverse habitats of North Serengeti. Return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy an early evening game drive or a nature walk with a local guide, who will share insights about the region's flora and fauna. If you wish to maximize your time in the park, packed lunches can be arranged for a longer exploration.
Day 4 & 5
After breakfast, drive to Central Serengeti to continue your exploration. This area features diverse habitats, including riverine forests, swamps, kopjes, open grasslands, and woodlands, attracting a variety of wildlife. Look for hippos at watering holes and leopards basking in acacia trees. Game drives are tailored to ensure you’re in the right place at the right time for spectacular viewing. Overnight at your chosen camp (Full board).
Day 6
After breakfast, begin your journey to the stunning Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site formed 2-3 million years ago by a volcanic eruption. Before the descent, you have the option to visit a traditional Maasai village to experience the lifestyle of this ancient tribe, known for their manyatta (houses).
Once inside the crater, you'll embark on a game drive among its towering 2,000-foot-high walls, home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife that includes many resident species. Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the scenic spots during your drive. Around 4 PM, depart for your lodge in Karatu, where you can relax and enjoy dinner.

Day 7
Karatu to Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport
Enjoy breakfast before departing for Arusha town or Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will catch your flight to Zanzibar for your next destination.
