Day 1
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your Authentic Maasai Safaris guide will warmly greet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. The drive takes approximately 45 minutes, depending on your arrival time. Along the way, your guide will offer an engaging introduction to the surrounding landscape and environment. Upon reaching the hotel, you’ll have a brief discussion with your guide about the exciting plans for the following day. Get ready to embark on an unforgettable safari adventure!
Day 2
After breakfast, you'll transfer to the airport for your 8:00 AM flight from Arusha to Kogatende Airport in Northern Mara, Serengeti, with a stop in Manyara or Seronera. Upon arrival at Kogatende airstrip between 10:30 and 11:00 AM, you'll be greeted by your guide, ready to begin your adventure. Our expert guides, with their deep knowledge of the region, will ensure you have an unforgettable safari experience along the North Mara River.
During your three-night stay, you’ll witness the Great Migration, where wildebeest, zebras, and the Big Five—including cheetahs—roam the expansive savannahs. Enjoy scenic picnic stops for lunch and refreshments before continuing your afternoon game drive. You'll arrive at your lodge by mid-afternoon, where you'll have the chance to marvel at the sight of thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the vast plains of Serengeti National Park. Spend the night at your selected lodge or camp in the northern Serengeti, with full board accommodations included.
Day 3
Depart from Serengeti National Park around 6 AM to search for nocturnal predators returning from their night’s hunt and watch the wildlife awaken at dawn. A packed bush breakfast awaits, with a brief stop to enjoy the sunrise. Your guide will help you spot prides of lions, cheetahs, and leopards in the rock areas and open grasslands of North Serengeti before returning to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, as the sun cools, you can choose between an early evening game drive or a nature walk with local tribesmen or your guide, who will share insights about the region’s flora and fauna. Plans are flexible and can be tailored to your preferences. If you wish to explore more, packed lunches can be arranged for a longer day in the park. Although the day may be long, it promises an unforgettable experience.
Day 4-5
After breakfast, head to central Serengeti to continue exploring this diverse and vibrant region. You'll encounter a range of habitats, from riverine forests and swamps to kopjes, open grasslands, and woodlands, each attracting a fascinating variety of wildlife. Watch for lions patiently lying in wait or ambushing prey, hippos cooling off in water sources, and leopards lounging in the branches of acacia trees. The game drive is thoughtfully planned to place you at the heart of the action, ensuring unforgettable wildlife encounters.
End your day at your chosen camp, where you’ll enjoy full board accommodations and the serenity of the African wilderness.
Day 6
After breakfast, begin your journey to the stunning Ngorongoro Conservation Area. With lunch packed, you'll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site formed when a volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself 2-3 million years ago. Before descending, you have the option to visit a traditional Maasai village to experience how this ancient tribe has lived for hundreds of years in their traditional manyattas (houses).
Once in the crater, with its 2,000-foot-high walls, you'll find a high concentration of wildlife. Many animals inside the crater don’t migrate, making it one of the areas with the highest concentrations of wild animals in the world. During your game drive, you'll stop for a picnic lunch at one of the many scenic spots.
Around 4 pm, you'll depart for your lodge in Karatu, where you can spend the evening relaxing and enjoying dinner. Overnight at one of the chosen lodges in Karatu, with full board accommodations.
Day 7
After breakfast, set off for Tarangire National Park, a breathtaking haven of natural beauty and one of North Tanzania's true gems. Famous for its large herds of elephants and dotted with towering ancient baobab trees, the park offers an extraordinary wildlife experience against a stunning backdrop. Get ready for an adventure you’ll never forget!
Day 8
After breakfast in Tarangire National Park, you’ll depart for Arusha town or Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your flight to Zanzibar and continue your adventure.
